With twin boys coming I wanted something reasonably priced that looked nice and didn’t take up too much space like the Lifetime cribs we’ve seen at the baby stores. This crib is not only so beautiful in person but it was a breeze to put together. I did it with my stepdaughter while I was 7 months pregnant with twins. And we did two of them! The color matches the Leksvik “Antique” furniture I bought from Ikea perfectly! We have two guest rooms with furniture and full size solid wood beds so we didn’t want to spend alot on furniture that we wouldn’t need when they get bigger. I love that this crib converts so they can continue to share a room until they are out of the toddler stage (mainly for the ease of us parents who have to respond to the needs of two babies/toddlers at once). I can’t recommend it enough and NO ONE should be disappointed with this crib. It does sit lower than alot of other cribs, but my husband is 6′2 and he has no problem with it. It only takes 2 seconds to bend over and pick up a baby or put a pacifier back in their mouth. I highly recommend this beautiful practical crib!

My wife and I just finished putting this crib together. It took a total of 25 minutes start to finish. The instructions were extremely easy to follow. We bought this exact crib in honey oak 18 months ago for baby number one and it has worked so well, we ordered the same crib in white for baby number two. Our original crib is in the same great shape as when we first put it together. The only adjustments we have done, where to lower the mattress support heights from higher to lower. Even that process only took a matter of minutes. I have read crib purchase reviews where the box arrived extremely beat up. When ours arrived the outside of the box was a little rough, but the crib pieces inside are very well packed, padded, and wrapped and there was not a scratch on the white finish. The super saver free shipping arrived at our door 6 days from date of purchase. I have never wrote a review for an online purchase before, but we are so pleased with our two cribs that I wanted to pass on a very positive message to those who may be comtemplating buying this crib.

P.S. I’m a physician and this crib could not be any safer…no solid side walls or backing…just the well spaced rounded slates all the way around and no moving parts

Our son is now 18months old and this crib has been amazing. Yes I agree that it does scratch easily but it is solid and very sturdy. Our only complaint is that the front rail that curves out to the front of the crib has a gap just wide enough for our son to stick his arm into and get it stuck. Now that he is starting to try to put his leg over the crib it gets stuck in there too. We have since moved him to a toddler bed but the arm getting stuck has been an ongoing thing since he was alittle past 12 months old. Other than that we love the crib and plan on using it for all of our babies, though we may make our own alterations on it to prevent our 3 month old from going through the same thing with getting his arm stuck.

If you do have this crib always remember to keep your monitor on and loud enough to where you can hear the cries if a little arm gets stuck.

When our son was born we had a Jenny Lind changing table (search for ASIN B000FTD1HA, the oak color) that had been given to us fully assembled but unused by the original owners. It wasn’t bad, but never impressed me as being very sturdy. Our son is a big kid (born 10 lbs 12.2oz!) and changing him sometimes turns into a wrestling match, until finally a few weeks ago the entire top shelf of the changing table collapsed! Wood split and splintered, no way to repair, utter disaster. Looked like the Titanic, after hitting the bottom of the Atlantic.

So, after a lot of research, visits to every store that carried anything that could even be adapted for use as a changing table, we finally found and settled on this particular one on Amazon. We needed something that could be used after he outgrew the need for a changing table, not to mention something sturdy enough to hold up to some wear and tear while he’s still being changed on it. But most of all, we had a very tight budget to work with. Most dresser-type changing tables seem to run well north of 0, pretty well out of our limited reach. Granted, this one isn’t quite a full dresser configuration, what with the pockets above the drawers, but it still seemed sturdy enough to fit the bill for today, and practical enough for his use when he gets older (we also have a full size separate dresser for his clothes).

As someone else pointed out, the packaging this is delivered in was pretty substantial and seemed well designed to protect it from having corners and ends crushed in shipping. And as someone else noted, there *are* a lot of parts in that box once you get it open. But the wooden parts are all numbered and marked, and the small parts (screws and nails and such) are pretty distinct and obvious in the instructions. The first few steps of assembly were a little time consuming finding various parts and pieces where I’d sorted them to, but after a little bit things started coming together nicely. I’m no expert at this stuff, but a little hammer and screwdriver work and some patience was all it took to follow the instructions to completion.

Fully assembled this is a very nice piece of furniture. It looks nice, the drawers (although small) track smoothly -unlike drawers for most dressers and such in this price range- and the height is great for tallish folks like my wife and I. My only worry, and the only real reason I took off a star, is that there’s a lot of particleboard here, which is worrisome for long-term durability. The top board seems to be solid wood though, and I’ll post updates here if the situation changes.

Overall though, this is a nice looking, easy to build, and practical changing table. You may be able to find better tables out there, but if you have a limited budget this seems to be the best deal around for your dollars.

Updated 4/02/10:

It’s been over a year since we got this changing table, and our son is now into potty training so it isn’t seeing nearly as much use as it was back then. It’s still in great shape though- the drawers still track smooth and true, the particleboard hasn’t split or shown any other signs of damage, and the paint is even still in good shape. Overall it’s held up excellently, and if we have another kid I expect it will continue to serve us well. My one and only complaint is that those pockets between the drawers and the table top make for really good footholds for our son to climb up, but honestly our kid is part mountain goat anyways, so I think he’d find something to work with regardless. All in all, this is still an excellent buy and absolutely worth a score upgrade to 5 stars.

This is changing table is adorable. I had read reviews that it was hard to put together but my husband had NO problem! I like it because on 3 sides it is raised so my son cannot roll off. I also like the fact that the drawers won’t pull all the way out and fall out. I won’t have to worry that in the future my son might get hurt. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I wish it had a side part connected to put all the diaper stuff and to have it all right there. It’s not convenient to put everything underneath while you’re changing a squirmy baby.

I got this crib after lots of search on the internet.

The color is what I looked for: it’s not too dark brown, a little brighter than espresso in the picture.

And a design is very simple and it looks really really expensive. I love this.

The wood is sturdy and there is no scratch in any parts.

First time I got this crib from Amazon, I found that one part of crib was broken.

It was because of careless of delivery.

Anyway, I called Customer Service, and they directly sent me a new one. It took just a few days.

I strongly recommend this to everyone who’s looking for nice, sturdy, and gorgeous crib.

It’s good to store baby items and have easy access. Since it doesn’t have solid base so expect it to sag when you put too many things in it and it’s quite wobbly too. The wooden rods that support 1st and 2nd shelf slide out after awhile. They should just sew it shut then it won’t slide out. Now since my baby turns toddler I can’t use it as before to store folded baby clothes, diapers, powder and lotion cause he’ll pull everything out. Since it’s wobbly he can topple the whole thing. So now I use it to store his toys and books which he’ll still take out.

This product is shoddy to say the least. It’s the only thing I’ve ever bought that wasn’t worth the time and effort to even put together. The screws don’t line up with the holes, there are no pre-drilled holes in the wooden dowel rods and the cloth material of the cart is of extremely poor quality-paper-like. There was also ink on the material that smeared when touched. After an hour of fighting this thing during assembly I chucked it all. Actual carpenter skills and tools should not be required to assemble something like this.

I’ve never seen such a poor quality product. I would rate it at less than a star if possible.

After desperately searching for an affordable armoire for our daughter’s nursery, I came across this piece from South Shore. When it arrived I was so happy to see that all the pieces were there and not damaged. My husband and I put it together in less than two hours with no problems at all. It looked absolutely beautiful when we finished and it was perfect for her room.

I loved all the shelves available for storing clothes and displaying items. It’s the perfect size (not too tall or wide) so I have things displayed on top as well. Everything seems extremely sturdy and the drawers are much stronger than I thought they would be. I know the color is ‘pure white’ and I wasn’t sure exactly what that meant when we purchased it, but it matches my daughter’s white crib perfectly. I have her nursery decorated in a shabby chic theme and this was a wonderful addition—I would totally recommend this product. I am extremely satisfied!

The only thing I did not realize when we bought this was that there is no latch or magnet for the door. There are small clear rubber blocks inside the frame so when the door closes it doesn’t bang but it might get interesting when she starts moving around and discovers she can open it herself!

I put this cabinet together by myself in ~ 4 hours. I’d definitely recommend looking closely at the pictures as well as the directions for assembly. As I read in other people’s reviews, the door doesn’t shut as tightly as perhaps it could. However, if you take the time to fiddle with the hinge adjustments you can get the slight gaps even all the way around. I would recommend this cabinet to others.

I read a lot of reviews about this and other such products, I have seen that mostly people who had had bad experiences would come to write a review, I decided to change it as I have been so pleased with this product and the merchant (baby age) that I definitely would like to give them both a 5 star rating. I am a software engineer and have very little exposure to assembling a furniture of this size, it was obviously not easy but luckily there were all the parts and all the screws and pictures that I needed, with little help from my wife I was able to put together this beautiful table in little less than 2 hours, so people with a little more experience would probably be get done in an hour or so. I read a review which stated that someone had to spend 6 hours to assemble this table, I think the key is not to apply your brains while assembling these devices and to rely on the pictures, it would make your life very easy, also the table is pretty stable, has a nice shine and once I wiped it clean it looks pretty good and I am pretty sure it would last many years and I probably would be able to resell it in two years time , I would highly recommend this product and seller both.

For the money, this was a very nice piece of furniture. This changing table is really beautiful once it is put together. It took quite a while to build, however, and was not the easiest construction I have ever undertaken. Also, now that my daughter is 9 months old she is already out-growing the table in terms of length– and she is only an average height girl. So if I were to do it over, I would probably sacrifice some of the beauty for a slightly longer and more functional table.
